The two ingredients are sea salt (sodium chloride) and potassium chloride. These ingredients are used in the majority of existing reduced sodium salts in the market which are only available as fine powdered blends. In contrast, MILLDOWN® reduced sodium sea salt is in a hard crystal format just like sea or rock salt crystals. MILLDOWN® reduced sodium sea salt comprises 66.7% potassium chloride and 33.3% sodium chloride. There are no added flowing agents or other additives such as flavour enhancers or maskers.

Nutritional - MILLDOWN®
Compared to standard rock and sea salts, as well as to common table salt, MILLDOWN® contains 66.7% less sodium. Samples of ground down MILLDOWN® reduced sodium salt were analysed and were found to match the nutritional claim. Regular salts contain 39g of sodium per 100g. MILLDOWN® reduced sodium sea salt contains 13.099g of sodium and 34.981g of potassium per 100g.
Nutritional - MILLDOWN® with Seaweed
Our Seaweed seasoning mix offers reuduced sodium with all the benefits of seaweed. The combination of freshly ground seaweed and reduced sodium salt offers 75% less sodium per portion compared to common salt. There is 9g of sodium per 100g and 0.13g of sodium per serving of 1.3g in the seaweed mix compared to 39.3g of sodium per 100g in salt
Nutritional - MILLDOWN® with Herbs & Spices
The use of herbs and spices combined with our MILLDOWN® reduced sodium sea salt offer a means to further reduce sodium intake easily without compromise on flavour. High quality ingredients ensure that there is consistency of flavour as they are freshly ground at point of use. The seasoning mixes offer up to 80% reduction in sodium intake compared to common salt and have been especially prepared to enhance specific food products as well as a general seasoning option.
